Rohit Sharma made a comeback in T20Is after more than 14 months, but it didn’t go well. In the match against Afghanistan, on the second ball of the Indian innings, Rohit got run out. There was confusion with his opening partner Shubman Gill. Both batsmen ended up at the same end, and Rohit was dismissed when the wicketkeeper removed the bails.

However, Shubman Gill was focused on the ball, not realizing Rohit’s call. This confusion led to both batsmen ending up at the same end of the pitch. Unfortunately, Rohit Sharma was run out without scoring any runs.

However, India Beat Afghanistan By 6 Wickets

India successfully chased 159 runs to win against Afghanistan in the first T20 International at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, on January 11. Shivam Dube, Jitesh Sharma, Tilak Varma, and Rinku Singh played well, helping India secure a 6-wicket victory. This win also puts India in the lead with a score of 1-0 in the tri-series. Shivam Dube was awarded the Player of the Match for scoring 60 runs off 40 balls.
