- Obtain Lakshadweep Permit: First and foremost, you need to obtain a permit to visit Lakshadweep. This can be done through the Lakshadweep Administration website or the Lakshadweep Administration Office in Kochi.
- Book a Flight to Kochi: Book a flight ticket to Kochi International Airport from your city. Direct flights to Kochi are available from major airports such as Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore.
- Flight to Agatti Airport: Once you reach Kochi, book a flight ticket from Kochi to Agatti Airport, which is the only airport in Lakshadweep. Note that flights to Lakshadweep are available only from Kochi.

How to Visit Lakshadweep From Cruise
If you wish to reach Lakshadweep by sea, namely through a Cruise, it is possible. To travel to Lakshadweep via Cruise, you first need to reach Kochi in Kerala. In Kochi, you will find several Cruises or you can also find cruise for Lashadweep from mumbai crusise terminal that can take you to Lakshadweep through the sea route.
It’s important to note that the journey from Kochi to Lakshadweep by Cruise takes approximately 15 to 18 hours whereas from Mumbai it take 3 to 4 days. Despite the longer duration, the experience is quite enjoyable as the Cruise takes you through the scenic sea route to reach Lakshadweep.
Can We Go Lakshadweep via Train?
If you want to reach Lakshadweep by train, you first need to book a train ticket to Ernakulam Junction, the main railway station in the city of Kochi, Kerala. After reaching Ernakulam Junction, you can easily proceed to Lakshadweep by flight or cruise.
As of now, there is no direct train service to Lakshadweep. Therefore, you will have to use the facilities of flights or cruises from Ernakulam Junction to reach Lakshadweep.

Activities such as snorkeling may cost ₹1,000 – ₹3,000 per person, scuba diving could range from ₹3,000 – ₹8,000 per dive, and island hopping tours might be ₹2,000 – ₹5,000 per person.
