Virat Kohli made a comeback to T20I cricket in the recent match. He hadn’t played in this format since November 2022, during India’s semi-final in the 2022 T20 World Cup against England.

There was a small disturbance in the Afghanistan innings when a fan managed to reach Kohli on the ground, touching his feet and hugging him before being escorted away.

After catching him, the police brought the young man to Tukoganj police station. A police officer mentioned that the guy had a valid ticket for the match and came into the Holkar Stadium through the Narendra Hirwani Gate.
The officer explained that the young man appeared to be a huge fan of Kohli and went onto the field by climbing the fence of the spectators’ gallery because he wanted to meet the player.

A person on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) claimed to be the one who broke security to hug Kohli. Aarav, using the handle @sigma__male_ and having Kohli’s picture in his profile, declared it as the biggest achievement of his life.
However, there hasn’t been any official statement from the police confirming the identity of the man.
Virat kohli Performance in Match
Kohli played aggressively during the chase, hitting 29 runs in 16 balls before getting out in the last over of the powerplay. Following that, Jaiswal and Dube dominated the Afghanistan bowlers. Yashasvi scored 68 runs in 34 balls with six sixes but eventually got out. On the other hand, Dube remained unbeaten with 63 runs off 32 balls, hitting four maximums.
