Amitabh Bachchan, a highly skilled Bollywood actor known for his great acting, enjoys a lavish lifestyle. He bought a fancy piece of land in Ayodhya called The Sarayu. It’s a super luxurious place. The project will open on January 22, 2024, the same day the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, opens the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.

As per a Hindustan Times report, The Sarayu is a big project being built by a Mumbai company called The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL). It covers 51 acres of land. According to someone in the real estate business, the land Amitabh Bachchan wants to use for his home is about 10,000 square feet and costs Rs.14.5 crores indian rupees.

Amitabh Bachchan was born in Allahabad, which is now called Prayagraj, and it’s about a four-hour drive from Ayodhya. The Sarayu, where he bought a plot, is just 15 minutes away from the Ram temple and 30 minutes from the Ayodhya International Airport.

Amitabh Bachchan shared that Ayodhya is special to him, and he’s excited about investing in The Sarayu project. He mentioned being attracted to the city’s spiritual and cultural richness and expressed his eagerness to build a home in Ayodhya, which he considers the global spiritual capital.

Abhinandan Lodha, the person behind HoABL and the son of Maharashtra tourism minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, mentioned that they are planning to invest ₹2,000 crore in building four luxury hotels in Benares, Vrindavan, Shimla, and Amritsar.

Amitabh Bachchan Gave His House to his Daughter Shweta 

Amitabh Bachchan’s house, Pratiksha, is very close to him. However, on November 24, 2023, he gave the house keys to his daughter, Shweta Bachchan. According to the Economic Times, this was done through two gift deeds, each for a specific part of the land where the house is. The report also mentioned that Amitabh paid a stamp duty of Rs. 50.65 lakhs for transferring the house, which is worth Rs. 50.63 crores.
