Countdown to Glory: India vs Australia Series

India, winners of Asia Cup 2023, will face five-time World Cup champion Australia in a three-match ODI Series ahead of ODI World Cup 2020. There is always a great thrill when India vs Australia match happens. 

This three-match series will run from September 22 through 27 and mark their final preparation before facing each other at Chennai on October 8 for the ODI World Cup. Both India and Australia are heavy favourites to win this year’s title and now have one last opportunity to hone their lineups Glenn Maxwell and Pat Cummins have rejoined Australia after missing the South Africa tour due to injury.

India and Australia will engage in a five-match, Twenty20 International series immediately following the 2023 ODI World Cup, starting November 23 and lasting up until December 3. This T20 Series will play an essential role in preparations for the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Indian and Australian One-Day International Series Schedule


India will commence their three-match One Day International (ODI) Series against Australia starting Friday, September 22. Rohit Sharma will lead India, while Hardik Pandya will play their first match since Rohit is not available due to personal reasons. 

Following winning the Continental Cup this past summer, India has gained confidence, while Australia are feeling defeated after losing three out of five ODI Series against them by 2-3.

The ODI Series will take place during September in preparation for India hosting the Cricket World Cup 2023 between October and November. Following that tournament, India is scheduled to host two T20I Series tournaments between November and December.

Ind vs Aus are evenly matched, and intense matches can be expected between them. India will look to avenge their loss at the T20 World Cup Final. At the same time, Australia wants to maintain their T20 cricket dominance against India.
