Notably, when we consider all international formats, Finn Allen now shares the record for hitting the most sixes in a single match with Rohit Sharma and AB de Villiers, both having achieved this in ODIs. In ODIs, the record for the most sixes in a single match is held by Eoin Morgan.

Finn Allen did something amazing in one game by hitting 16 sixes, making him the first New Zealand player to do that. He helped New Zealand score 224/7 in 20 overs. Finn Allen individual score of 137 runs off 62 balls is now the highest ever for a New Zealand player in T20I cricket. Before him, Brendon McCullum held the record with 123 runs.

Approximately two years after Rohit Sharma’s record, AB de Villiers matched it by hitting 16 sixes in a single match against West Indies on January 18, 2015, in Johannesburg. In that remarkable innings, AB de Villiers scored 149 runs in just 44 balls.

In the same year, another batsman, Chris Gayle, also matched the record set by Rohit Sharma and AB de Villiers by hitting 16 sixes in a single match. This happened during a game against Zimbabwe in Canberra on February 24, 2015. In that innings, Chris Gayle scored an impressive 215 runs in 147 balls.

Eoin Morgan made a record by hitting 17 sixes in a single match against Afghanistan on June 18, 2019, at Old Trafford in Manchester. This stands as the highest number of sixes in a single international cricket match. In that game, Morgan scored 148 runs in just 71 balls.
